FAQ
Short, direct answers to the questions that come up most.
Is Jat live?
Yes, on Solana devnet. The full round-trip of receive, pay, claim, and withdraw works end to end against the live programs listed in programs and network.
Do I have to install anything?
No. Use it from the site, or add it to your own site by pasting two lines of HTML. See the embed. Keys are generated in your browser.
Can the site or relayer take my funds?
No. Your spend key never leaves your browser, the relayer only pays transaction fees, and a pool withdrawal binds its recipient inside the proof. See keys and the scan model and the fee relayer.
What happens if I lose my keys?
For stealth payments, the scan and spend keys are the only way to find and move what was sent to you. For a pool deposit, the nullifier and secret are the only way to withdraw. Losing them means the funds cannot be recovered by anyone.
Does Jat hide the amount?
No. Jat does not hide amounts. Deposits use fixed denominations, so the denomination tier is public. What the pool shields is the link between your deposit and your withdrawal: the proof does not reveal which deposit is yours, so the payout is not linked to your wallet.
Is there a token?
No. There is no token contract address, and the site will never show a fabricated one. /api/token reports a null address until a real one exists.
Which wallets work?
Any standard Solana browser wallet set to devnet, such as Phantom, for the paying step. Receiving and claiming do not need a wallet, since those keys are generated in your browser.
